SMS Program Terms & Conditions
Effective May 1, 2026. These terms govern the text-messaging program operated by Newport Watch Jewelry & Loan(“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Program Description
By providing your mobile phone number to Newport Watch Jewelry & Loan in connection with a pawn loan, sale, purchase, or service request — whether in person, over the phone, or through our website — you agree to receive recurring transactional and customer-service text messages from us at the number you provided. Typical messages include:
- Pawn loan due-date and grace-period reminders;
- Payment confirmations and payoff receipts;
- Forfeiture and pre-forfeiture notices required by state law;
- Notifications that an item is ready for pickup, that a repair is complete, or that a memo is due;
- Replies to questions you send us by text.
This program does not send marketing or promotional messages. All messages relate to a specific transaction or service you have requested.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You should not typically expect to receive more than a few messages per month per active loan or order. During the final week before a pawn loan becomes due, you may receive up to one reminder per day until the loan is renewed, redeemed, or forfeited.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply.Standard message and data rates set by your mobile carrier will apply to each message sent or received. We do not charge a separate fee for the messages themselves. Check with your carrier if you are unsure about your plan's rates.
Opt-In
You opt in to this program when you provide your mobile phone number to us as part of a transaction or service request and either (a) check or sign the SMS-consent box on an intake form or receipt, or (b) initiate a text conversation with us. We will only send messages to numbers that have opted in.
Opt-Out
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out and will not send you any further text messages. To rejoin, give us your number again or reply START.
Opting out of SMS does not end any underlying business relationship. We may still need to contact you by phone, email, or mail to fulfill legal obligations such as delivering a forfeiture notice.

Supported Carriers
Our messages are supported on major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket, Virgin Mobile, and most regional and prepaid carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile phone number and your SMS opt-in information are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are transmitted only to the licensed SMS carriers that deliver our messages, or when required by law.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of, or authorized user on, the mobile phone number you provide. You agree not to provide a number that does not belong to you.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through a text message or by updating the effective date above.
